Priva acquires stake in Smart Buildings Company bGrid

Amsterdam, 29 October 2019 – Today, a leading developer of technologies and services for climate control and optimum use of energy, Priva, announced it has acquired a minority stake in bGrid, a fastgrowing specialist in smart buildings. bGrid provides an intelligent sensor platform that collects data from buildings and connects it to various third-party apps. The companies have been working together on projects and will now reinforce their businesses even more.

With this minority stake in bGrid, Priva gives further substance to its innovation and growth strategy. When it comes to data collection and data integration for buildings, bGrid is at the forefront incorporating the latest sensor technologies. bGrid will use the investment for further technology development and for scaling up, both in the Netherlands as abroad. In addition, the intensified cooperation with Priva will lead to a larger (partner) network and a further exchange of knowledge.
